"Freshman Fifteen"

For many students, when it comes to food and college, it is stressful to think that your parents won't be making those fabulous healthy home cooked meals. I, on the other, am fine fending for myself. I decided my senior year of high school that I would try my hand on living on my own. I had a job at McDonald's and I lived in a small town where everything was in walking distance and many people were friendly enough to lend a helping hand. As a college student, most of us are low on money and income, which is the same if you are a high school student with a crappy part time job trying to pay rent and bills. Little time, little money, and little choices are things that I am used to, but living in Asheville has given me healthier options. So while many others are stressing about the "freshman fifteen," I am starting the "freshman negative fifteen" or maybe the "freshman negative thirty."
