Food Matters

Does food really matter? Food matters in many ways. Those of us who are not starving and never needed to hope for food, often take it for granted. We post pictures of it online telling people how awesome we are for trying food so exotic and interesting, but for people who are starving, it’s strength, substance, and possibly another day of life or health. For others it’s a chance to talk with or even reconcile with friends and family in a comfortable home-y setting, bringing people together. It is a biological need to eat and supply our bodies with nutrition, but there is also the possibility to over eat and suffer from obesity and diabetes or even starve for those who have the means to eat but not the desire; for example those who choose to fast or those suffer from an eating disorder. Food matters, how much depends on how you use it.
